Firmware Version V1.7.0 introduces key enhancements to connectivity, configuration flexibility, and stability. Highlights include updated WiFi security labels, customizable DHCP ranges, extended file transfer limits, and support for configuration versioning. A major addition is the integration of ifm remoteConnect with a dedicated WebUI page. The update also brings improved WiFi performance, fixes SIM switching reliability, and enables resumption of interrupted file transfers after reboot.

This release includes only a limited number of bug fixes; however, they address critical issues. Accordingly, we strongly recommend upgrading your devices to ensure optimal performance and stability.

This release introduces critical updates, including fixed vulnerabilities (HTTP/2 DoS and XZ Utils backdoor), timestamped CAN data logging with extended payloads, SIM provider recognition with APN settings, and JSON API compatibility improvements. Bug fixes include support for Extended CAN (29-bit IDs), enhanced CAN source handling, and improved web UI responsiveness. Notable issues include WiFi and password-related bugs requiring restarts and potential Over-the-Air update stalls.

This version, not released to production, introduces Configuration Over-the-Air with versioning, systemd integration for enhanced service management, and backend support for CAN data logging with Codesys. Other changes include updated JSON API schemas, local API access for Codesys, and improved network profile settings. Bug fixes address backend connection reliability, NTP autostart, and HTTP range requests for file transfers. ⚠ Notably, the version is not backward compatible, and rollbacks are not possible after an upgrade.

Please note that FW 1.5.1 update is required which means that this version introduces significant changes to the system and this version cannot be skipped or downgraded.
