Reading and Configuring the PLC

To read out plc information and configure plc settings, switch to the PLC tab. As sub tabs you will see all PLCs, that are available.


Reading PLC and application information

To read general information of the PLC refer to the Common section. There you can see the status of the PLC, the type and the version of the PLC.

To read out Application specific information of the application that is running on the PLC have a look on the other section. First of all you can see the status of the application.

In the Application Information you will see Information like:

  • Name
  • Version
  • Author
  • Description
  • Builddate

If there is no application on the selected PLC or some of the values are not set in the Application, some of the Application Information and Project Information will be missing.

The Project Information section provides information about the project, where your application were created. It contains the Title of the project, the filename of the project, the version, the author, the vendor, a description, a flag if the project is released and the filename.


Configuration of the PLC

A PLC is configurable, if additionally to the information read out from the device, settings can be configured. In the below image the communication service for different interfaces can be activated or deactivated.

If an interface needs additional information for the communication interface, for example on CAN, the NodeID can be configured as seen in the image below.
