Hello, in this guide we're going to work through the process to onboard your machine and make the remoteConnect services available for your machine.

Before we can onboard the device for the remoteConnect services, please make sure that you have added the machine in the platform by following this guide: ifm Docs | mobileᴵᵒᵀ Suite | Machine | Add machine

Now let's onboard the device into a data-center.

One can identify whether a device already has been onboarded in the remoteConnect service by looking at the remote connection type icon.

In this case, the device was not yet onboarded:

If you see a 'shield' 🛡️ icon, then it was already onboarded in the remoteConnect services

2. Open the machine properties by clicking on the 'machine properties' icon:

3. Within the machine properties 'modal', navigate to the 'remoteConnect' tab

4. Select the data-center region to which you're machine will initially connect to and click 'Onboard'

5. That's it.

When successfully onboarded you will see this screen with some more details.
