Secomea SiteManager

This section configures the Secomea SiteManager service, enabling remote device management via a central server. Key settings include:

  • Enable SiteManager : Turns the service on, off, or allows control based on an external input signal.
  • Server Address: Specifies the SiteManager gateway the device connects to for management.
  • Domain Token : A unique key used for secure device authentication within SiteManager.
  • Web Proxy Settings : Optional proxy address and credentials to enable SiteManager communication through network proxies.

These settings ensure secure and flexible remote access tailored to different network environments and operational needs.

Information / Disclaimer:
Starting with firmware version 1.7.0, the default configuration has changed: SiteManager is disabled by default, and remoteConnect is enabled by default. However, if the device is updated from a previous firmware version where SiteManager was enabled, this setting will be retained and remain active after the update. Users should verify their configuration post-update to ensure remote access behaves as expected.

Enable SiteManager

Data Type: string

Default: enabled

Allowed Values: enabled, disabled, input-controlled

Description: This setting controls the activation state of the Secomea SiteManager service on the device.

  • enabled : SiteManager runs continuously.
  • disabled : SiteManager is completely turned off.
  • input-controlled : The SiteManager service behavior depends on the state of analog input 1 — it automatically starts when the input is high and stops when the input is low. This mode allows dynamic control based on external signals, useful for automation scenarios.

Note: Availability of this feature may vary between firmware versions. In some cases, SiteManager options may not be supported or accessible depending on the installed firmware.

GateManager address

Data Type: string

Default: gm01-emea.ifm.com

Description: Specifies the hostname or IP address of the SiteManager gateway or server the device connects to. This server acts as the central point for remote access, configuration, and management of the device via the SiteManager service. Ensure the address is reachable from the device’s network for proper operation.

Domain Token

Data Type: string

Default: F35059532317468AA1A5BE1E3CB

Description: The domain token is a unique authentication key used to securely identify the device within the SiteManager infrastructure. This token must be correctly configured to establish trusted communication between the device and the SiteManager server.

Web Proxy Address

Data Type: string

Default: <empty>

Description: Optional configuration for specifying a web proxy server address. If your network requires proxy usage to access external servers, set the appropriate proxy address here. This allows SiteManager traffic to be routed through the proxy, enabling operation in restrictive network environments.

Web Proxy Username

Data Type: string

Default: <empty>

Description: If the configured web proxy requires authentication, specify the username here. This credential will be used alongside the password to gain authorized access to the proxy server.

Web Proxy Password

Data Type: string

Default: <empty>

Description: The password corresponding to the proxy username. This credential is required for authenticating with the web proxy to permit SiteManager traffic to pass through.
