The Security section provides access to privacy and permission settings for the device. You can navigate to the Security settings by selecting the corresponding tile on the landing page. Clicking the tile will open the Device Settings page, with the Security option preselected in the left-hand menu. The security settings are divided into two groups:

Summary

The Summary section offers a general overview of security-related information.

Please note that all settings related to these entries are located under Advanced Settings > Device Access Settings , which will be described in the Advanced Settings chapters.

Admin Password

In the Admin Password section, you can change the administrator password for the device. It is strongly recommended to replace the default password to enhance security.

To update the admin password, follow these steps:

Current Admin Password
  • Enter the current administrator password in the provided field.
New Password
  • Enter the new password twice in the designated fields. The WebUI will provide recommendations for creating a strong password.

After filling in the required fields, click the Apply button to save and activate the new password.

File Upload Password

The File Upload Password setting allows you to restrict the transfer of files from another participant on the Ethernet network to the device. This prevents unauthorized file transfers. The option of protecting the file upload though a password has to be enabled within the Advanced Settings module. This is described in the corresponding Chapter.

To secure file uploads with a password, follow the same steps as for changing the Admin Password :

Current Admin Password
  • Enter the existing administrator password.
New Password
  • Enter the new password twice. The WebUI will provide password strength recommendations.

Once all conditions are met, click the Apply button to set the new file upload password.

By following these steps, you can securely manage both admin and file upload passwords, ensuring the device is protected from unauthorized access.
